Optimization of Anti-Collapse Drilling Fluid Systems with High Potassium Content

The ash mudstone in some oil formations is highly water-sensitive. formation fractured, and the risk of well leakage collapse not negligible. This study presents a countermeasure for prevention, based on “force-chemistry synergistic balance” approach utilization environmentally friendly efficient hydration inhibitors. relevance this demonstrated considering drilling fluid system with high potassium content. analysis shows that can maintain good rheological properties, filtration loss suspension stability even after aging at 130°C 16 h. primary roll recovery rock chips better than 98%. secondary rolling rate 89%. rapid water close to zero. effects carrying rock, sand, inhibition dispersion drill are all noticeable.
